Generating Targeted Traffic to Your Website on a Zero Budget

Generating targeted traffic to your website does not have to cost a lot of money. There are many ways to drive traffic to your website that are totally free. Many new website owners are working with a limited budget or no budget at all. Driving traffic to your website can be accomplished without spending any money at all.

Here are a few of my favorite free traffic generating methods.

Exchange links with other website owners. This is a powerful traffic generating method that will also provide additional back-links to your website. You simply contact other website owners in your niche and inquired if they would like to exchange links with you. Website owners are always looking for additional back links to their website, so don't be timid about contacting them.

Content: Contact other website owners in your niche and see if they would like some free original content for their website. The free content you are offering will be your articles. Your articles will contain a link to your website in the author's resource box. If your articles are of good quality they will be published and the readers will visit your website.

Your E-mail signature is another free resource that is often overlooked by website owners. Always include your website address in your business e-mail signature. Anyone you communicate with will see the link in your signature and potentially become a visitor. Every time you communicate by e-mail with anyone you will be promoting your website.

Your forum profile signature: Include your web address to your forum profile signature. This means that every time you post or respond to questions on the forum, your website URL is seen by all the people in the forum. You participate in the forum regularly, curious forum members will naturally click on your link to check you out.

Blog search sites: It is also very effective to submit your blog address to blog search sites and directories. Ping your website on a regular basis when you add new content. When you ping your blog, you make search engines robots index your website, which ultimately drives traffic to your website.
